1650AD
CHARLES STUART: King of England. A priggish, dullard who taxes his realm to poverty, whilst living like a king. He has little understanding of his subjects and is losing control of the situation as a result. The Puritans are pretty disgusted with Charles' lifestyle and have rebelled. Charles is panicked and confused as usual. HENRIETTA STUART: Queen of England. A real party girl, she is determined to have a good time and make Charles' life a misery of scandal. She is succeeding. OLIVER CROMWELL: Puritan, rebel. A serious and pious member of the English Parliament, he trains up and leads an army of the people in rebellion against the decadent monarchy of King Charles. His "Ironside" army is the first army to be trained in modern warfare.
